Punjabi agent kills 2 fellowmen in Lisbon
TANDA URMUR (HOSHIARPUR): A pall of gloom descended on the houses of two Punjabi youths who were stabbed
to death in Lisbon on the night of June 2 when a travel agent from Punjab attacked them.
One of the victims, Kulwinder Singh (30) of Salimpur village, about 13 km from here, was a citizen of Portugal, while Ravinder Singh (28) of Avtar Nagar, Jalandhar, had been staying there illegally.

According to Sukhjinder Singh, Ravinder's father, about two months back Minta, a Punjabi travel agent operating from Lisbon and who was a resident of Rarhi Tahli village of Hoshiarpur, assured their son that he would get citizenship of Portugal for which he had to pay Rs 3.5 lakh.
"We provided the money to Minta's father, Swaran Singh. My son told me on June 2 that the agent had provided fake documents. On that night, Minta, along with others, stabbed my son at his house, where he was putting up with Kulwinder, who was also assaulted when he tried to save my son," the wailing father said.
Bhupinder Singh said his younger brother Kulwinder Singh, who is survived by his wife and a five-month-old son, was to come here on June 12.
